I may have let things get a little out of hand this past month. It was easy to do when I had the chance to snag the Fullmetal Alchemist box set at well under half the recommended price from Barnes & Noble (and so I did). But what I was particularly excited about in June was that I was able to complete my collection of Fist of the North Star! I ended up paying more than I really wanted to, but much, much less than the volumes are normally going for these days. The seller had them listed in “good” condition, but when they arrived they were almost brand new. Needless to say, I was thrilled. I also managed to find a lot on ebay for a bunch of out-of-print volumes of Lone Wolf & Cub. The preorders that I was happy to see come arrive in June include the next volumes in Natsume Ono’s series House of Five Leaves (only one more volume to go!) and Baku Yumemakura and Jiro Taniguchi’s The Summit of the Gods as well as one of the first print manga published by Sublime, Three Wolves Mountain by Bohra Naono. I also received my copy of Hetalia: Axis Powers, Volume 3 by Himaruya Hidekaz. Part of RightStuf’s newly established print on demand service, the quality is very nice. I’m going to try to behave next month so that my wallet isn’t quite as upset with me.
