February may be a short month, but that didn’t stop me from obtaining a fair amount of manga and other fun things. Most of the titles are actually from orders made in previous months that just happened to arrive in February, so even though it might not look like it, I still kept to my New Year’s resolution. Granted, random manga lots from eBay auctions or wherever I only count as one purchase. And I don’t count purchases made with giftcards, either. So, what was I particularly excited about in February? As a belated birthday gift to myself, I decided to complete my collection of Hiroaki Samura’s Blade of the Immortal, one of my first and favorite manga series. Thanks to a sale at RightStuf, I also filled out some of the series I’ve been collecting from Vertical, like Dororo and Chi’s Sweet Home. And all the way from Japan, I ordered two music albums that I adore: Plugnet’s debut album Select, which is a ridiculously fun mix of 8-bit, hip-hop, and all sorts of other things; and World’s End Girlfriend’s fantastic new album, Seven Idiots.

Daniella Orihuela-Gruber says
Jesus. I think you’ve read more manga than I have this month. I am kind of jealous.
Ash says
Don’t be too jealous. I haven’t actually read all of these yet; it’s just what made it onto my bookshelf (or wherever else I could find to fit in my room) last month. I wish I had time to read that much manga! :)
Ash says
Most of it doesn’t stay, either, but gets donated, traded, or sold.
